Get Well Soon

My Great Grandpa had a little accident Sunday and hurt some ribs, but he's doing okay and should be better soon!

Get better soon Great Grandpa!!!

Upchuck

I suppose it's that time of year with sickness going around. Some of my friends at Chesterbrook were sick last week and I think I got part of it, or something.

Last Monday Daddy stayed home with me because Chesterbrook was closed for President's Day, but Mommy still had school. Then overnight Thursday into Friday I didn't feel so good and tossed my cookies. So Daddy kept me home again to keep an eye on me.

I slept a lot Friday, but in the afternoon I felt much better! Still though I had some issues overnight, but the rest of Saturday and most of Sunday, I was close to my old self.

Which let me tell is a whole lot of fun if I may say so myself. I really like exploring the house and seeing all the stuff I can get into. I like hugging the kitties....when they let me!

A couple of times, Mommy sat me on her lap and called Grandma on her laptop. Grandma's in Florida with Luke and Alex and I got to see them too, that was pretty neat.

I did okay today with feeling better and keeping my food down, so maybe I'm getting past whatever sickness was going around. We'll see...

Sunny Day

Today was the culmination of a beautiful weekend, the weather outside got in to the mid-70's with just a little breeze! Daddy said it's days like today that was why they moved from Ohio to Charlotte.

Mommy and Daddy took me down to the playground where there was a bunch of other kids hanging around. Some of them were throwing a football around and that caught my attention. Actually, I was more interested in the ball than the playground stuff.

We had a fun time and I can't wait until the Summer comes and Mommy and I can be outside most of the day having fun!

Later, after we got back from the grocery store, it was time for my bath. I can't tell you all why, but for the last week, I've decided to make bathtime funtime! Mommy and Daddy have had to hold me back from jumping in the tub because I still have my clothes on!

Tonight I decided to drink some of the soap suds, they weren't bad, though Daddy thought I was a little goofy to continue doing that. Oh well, what does he know, right?

Oh hey, if you haven't had a chance, there's a bunch of new photos uploaded, check 'em out (you can also hit the link on the right).

Day 4

My first clue should've been when Mommy and Daddy dressed me in my Superman jammies the night before...

Last Friday, Mommy and Daddy woke me up a little earlier than normal, packed me into the car and drove me to some strange place. Since this was kind of interesting I forgot all about being hungry or thirsty.

We rode down an elevator, went over to another one and up to the 7th floor of some place called Presbyterian Surgery Center, or something. This tall man named Ron Lincoln greeted us and seemed a little too chipper for 7 in the morning. But what a fun guy he was showing us around this place.

Pretty soon a nurse came to get me and put a tag on my ankle, and some bands on Mommy and Daddy's wrists. They made me change into some flimsy gown-like thing (see my picture pages for what it looked like), weighed me and measured me - 22 pounds 4 ounces and 30 inches long.

Pretty soon they gave me some liquid stuff that made me feel really, really good! Then things got fuzzy.

Editor's note: At this point Elliott was visited by the anesthesiologist and Dr. Gazak to talk to us about his procedure. A few minutes later the nurse picked Elliott up and took him back to their OR. About 50 minutes later the procedure complete, Elliott was moved to a recovery area. We got to see him about 10 minutes after that.

The next thing I know I'm sitting in Mommy's arms in some strange, cold room with a curtain. A little while later, they dressed me back in the Superman PJ's and we were headed back home. The rest of the day was pretty much a blur of grogginess, lying on alternately on Mommy's lap and then Daddy's and then just sleep, sleep and more sleep.

Today it's Day 4 after the procedure and my bandage came off today. It's still really, really sore, so I'm hoping it gets better soon!
