Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a good day down here in South, hopefully all the rest of you out there had a fine day as well!

Mommy and Daddy took me down to the Schillaci's for turkey dinner that was mmm, mmm good. I even got to eat some pumpkin pie and whipped cream (thanks Daddy!).

On a downer note though, everyone thinks I got some more toofers coming in or something. I drooled 2 bibs soaking wet and have (admittedly) been a little whiny the last few days.

We'll keep an eye on it and see what happens. In the meantime enjoy all those turkey leftovers!!

The weekend that was and then some

This past week was busy, whew! Some of my peeps from the Infant Room finally joined me in the Toddler Room at Chesterbrook, we had a grand reunion and lots of fun. But for whatever reasons, I keep bumping my noodle noggin on things and getting bruised. Oh well, so it goes I guess.

Monday and Thursday nights Mommy had to drive down to practice at Winthrop, so I hung out with the Schillacis extra time this week (and will be again for Turkey Day too!), that was nice.

Friday night was Mommy's concert and Daddy and I hung out in the back of the gym (yes gym, they had to play there because their regular concert place was being changed over or something). We had a good time though....did you know my Mommy had an unplanned solo??? She was talking all about it afterwards. Others were supposed to play with her, but they didn't, so it was just her.

Daddy and I thought we heard her in that tune and we were right! She sounded great of course.

Then Saturday night, Mommy and Daddy went to the symphony and dropped me off with the Connellys. They were playing some Guitar Hero when we got there and that was fun, but then I got tired after dinner and fell asleep.

Banana?

So check it out, the past few weeks since I've figured out how to point with my fingers, I've been picking things out and calling them "daddy" - everything.

And I mean everything. It's fun to watch Mommy and Daddy try to correct me, I just look at 'em with a grin and blurt out, "daddy!", works every time.

But now, my love of bananas has taken me down a different path. My thinking is if I want more bananas I gotta ask, so now I'm pointing at the yeller things and saying "nana" or sometimes, "ma-nana" (hey, I'm still working on pronunciation okay?) while tapping my palm with my middle finger (sign language, what a wonderful thing!).

So anyhow, long story short, since I've moved up to the toddler room at Chesterbrook, I have to bump up my game, so babbling and some legit words have to be part of that.

Have you seen my Mommy?

Last weekend, Mommy went to her music convention and left me all alone with just Daddy until Tuesday afternoon. But it was okay because Daddy and I had lots of fun, well at least when I was awake we had fun.

Okay, I'll fess up, he put up some more gates in the house and that I didn't enjoy so much. I need, no...I want to get into everything, so he needs to understand that unfettered access is necessary for me to be truly happy.

So if you don't mind letting him know that I'd be quite appreciative! Thanks.

Now for some fun facts: I've got my 4th lower tooth coming in; I ate brussel sprouts (sorry Mommy and Grandma, but they tasted pretty good); I can point my index finger to things that interest me and I call everything I point to "daddy" (how cool is that???). Oh and I'm a pusher these days, pushing anything I can around the room while I'm walking.

Oh and hey, since it's been a while since I've posted, I need to send a HUGE shout out to my newest peep: my new cousin Alex!!!!
