A new era

Today was another step in the process of mommy and daddy losing any moment of peace with me! This morning I explored my way out of the Family Room and into the hallway of adventure.

Daddy followed me of course (he got some video too, should be posted in a day or so) so I didn't get into any trouble or anything, but I did find the door-stopper thingy and boy does it make some cool noises.

I also helped dust the floor with my crawling, so daddy had to change me into another outfit. Daddy says I need to let you all know that I'm not really crawling, but mostly pulling myself around by my arms. Semantics I suppose - either way, it's pretty tiring after a while.

But boy oh boy, no more sitting still for me, if there's something that catches my eye, I'm after it. So mark this day on the calendar - June 29th - as the day I began exploring on my own!

Premiere Performance

This just in, from a few days ago one of my first piano performances. I'm still working on the finer points of technique, but take a look and let me know what you think!

Okay, we've been working on this video thing, so let's see how well it works. Here's a video from early June that daddy took of me eating, well after I finished eating....don't worry, there's no upchucking involved!

Catch Up 2

Since mommy's school is done for the summer, I'm pretty home all the time now. Which means I finished up at the Learning Express - my favorite day care school! So an extra special shout out to Miss Donna and Miss Valerie (a former East Lincoln color guard member!) for taking such good care of me the last 6 months. I'll miss you guys!

That also means Grandma Connelly's not coming over as much anymore, but mommy takes me to see her which is fun because she's almost always getting me neat stuff.

Like a few days ago she took me to this place and was buying me a hat (I'm not that big on hats right now, but since it's grandma I let it slide) the problem was she had to buy the hat size for 18-24 month olds because my noodle-noggin's so huge.

Daddy makes fun of my big head but it just makes me giggle because I'll end up being smarter than he is, he just doesn't realize it yet.

Oh hey did you all hear??? My cousin Lukas is getting a baby brother this Fall!

Catch up 1

Boy, Summer's almost here and I should have all this extra time and I can't seem to stay awake late enough to update my blog....not very technorati of me is it?

Oh well, I'll blame daddy for making me go to bed so early all the time.

So let's catch up on some stuff:

About a month ago, the East Lincoln band had their major drum tryouts and, no wait.......scratch that, drum major tryouts (cut me some slack???) and mommy and daddy helped judge and took me along.

I didn't get a say so because they passed me off to Mrs. Wright (Travis' mom) who watched me most of the night. She was a lot of fun and keep me entertained and even fed me dinner - so I need to give an official Elliott shout out to her.

A few days after that was the band banquet and I got to go to that too. Mrs. Dominguez (Cody and Kyle's mom) watched me for a little while so mommy and daddy could eat. I have to say I'm sorry for slobbering all over her nice shirt, but in my defense, it's not easy to control!

Anyhow a shout out to her as well and all the other band parents I saw that night!

Since then mommy's school finished and she's home on Summer Break - yay us!
