Spring Concert

Sorry, I'm a little late with this...last Tuesday, mommy had her Spring Concert at the middle school, her first middle school concert since I came onto the scene.

Daddy warned me the gym would be stuffy, but it wasn't bad. I fell asleep for part of it (shhh, don't tell any of the students, I didn't mean to nap, it just happened).

Her 8th grade drummer people did a neat piece with mommy helping out, but I think her 8th graders need to laugh and giggle more, those drummers were soooo serious looking. Maybe I could teach them how to laugh!

The choir was cool too, they did a piece with stuff I didn't quite understand....what are the 50's, 60's and 70's???? Temperatures? Years? What? I didn't get that part, but the music and singing was fun.

Later this week, we might have my very first video post.....stay tuned.

Happy Mommy's Day

Mommy's Day

My mommy's the best!

Busy Mother's Day

What a busy day, we even had tornado warnings, oh my!

Mommy got back home very, very early this morning (so I heard, I was asleep) from taking her band to 6 Flags in Georgia. She said the band played very well and had a good time down there. But I missed her and I'm happy to have her back.

This afternoon we headed over to NoDa to get our pictures taken. The Light Factory was running their Shoot Out fundraiser this weekend and we had our session today. Our photographer, Susan Scott, was really neat, but I gotta say all those lights and flashes really discombobulated me.

But we had a lot of fun with all the different pictures. Susan did a great job with us and took a ton of pictures. I bet mommy and daddy will buy every one twice over (aren't I worth it?)!

Oh the rain though, it poured on our way to the Shoot Out and on our way back home. Then we went back out for dinner and it rained again but with tornado warnings tossed in.

But let me tell you about dinner. Mommy put a blanket into my car seat to keep my tootsies warm and later daddy flipped the blanket over my head and when I pulled it off, I grinned wide as a canyon.

Mommy flipped the blanket back up and said "Where's Elliott?"...I waited a few seconds and pulled it off with an even bigger grin. Then she flipped the blanket up again and I did the same thing. Everyone was laughing, I learned the game and it's so much fun!!

Then guess what? It rained a bunch more on the way home.

Next up: crawling, keeping checking back for progress.

Big Weekend

Mommy's taking her band to some place called 6 Flags in Atlanta (hey, I've been there before!) Friday. It's going to be our first night apart, so if you see her, let her know I'm just fine (but I miss her!).

My Grammer and Grandpa Wise are coming down Friday from Ohio. When mommy gets back, we've got to get pretty for a big photo shoot on Sunday. The Light Factory is running their fundraiser - the Shoot Out - and daddy's playing a part in it. We're gonna get a bunch of photos taken and of course I'll be the cutest one there!

More catching up

The last few weeks were a bit loopy. I got sick, daddy got sick, mommy got sick, daddy got sick again, I got sick again and mommy's still not well (daddy makes jokes about that, but I'm not gonna laugh at them).

So, what's happened since mommy's birthday....well, on mommy's birthday, I spent my first evening away from family and was baby-sat by the Vanderbilt's. They were a lot of fun, but I fell asleep towards the end.

Then my 8th month birthday came around, I'm something like 17 pounds and 26-some inches long, but let me tell you my head's getting huge (as well it should of course!) and it's gotta be all brain power.

Oh hey, I'm sitting up now (look at my pictures and you'll see), not quite crawling, but I'm trying to figure that out. Grandma Connelly's helping me with that too.

She's also got me sitting up in the shopping carts when we go out and boy oh boy, it's whole new world out there!!! All sorts of stuff I can grab for and try to stuff in my mouth....it just doesn't get any better.

Last Monday I got to see my mommy perform on stage. She had her Winthrop concert and I think I did rather well. Daddy had to take me out into the hallway for a few songs because it was time for me to be squirmy, but let me tell you she played well and I should know.

That pretty much wraps it up, like I said, there's new pictures posted, so check 'em out and let me know what you think. I'll be happy to sell any since I don't think mommy or daddy have started a college savings account for me yet.
