6 months old!

Before the day is through I wanna let everyone know that today is my 6 month birthday!

Yesterday I visited Dr. Floberg for my 6-month check up and shots. They weighed me in at 15 pounds 5 ounces and 25.5 inches long - these are in the 20-25 percentile for my age group (but much better if you clock me in as a 5-month old per my expected delivery date).

Mommy has made me promise that I won't run from Nurse Valerie when I grow older. I dunno, whenever I see her she seems to always have needles in her hands, but she says such nice things to me that I like her all the same.

Sadly, no one got me any presents for today.....no car, no iPhone, nothing.....oh well, I still had fun because no one gave me any of those painful shots today.

Being Sick and seeing my Great Uncle

I picked up my second cold over the past weekend, but this one hasn't been so bad. I haven't been coughing near as much, but boy oh boy has the snot been flowing. I mean come on, I'm already drooling buckets, but add a runny nose on top of that and it's just not a ton of fun.

And then, tack onto that the probability that I'm into another growth spurt and, jeepers, life can be tough at times!

Well aside from that, mommy's Uncle Todd was in town earlier this week and he stopped by to see me (and our house) for the first time. I was hoping he'd bring his family along, but I guess I'll have to wait a little longer to meet his kids Camille and Delaney, and my Great Aunt Kathy.

Speaking of which, did you know my Great Grandfather is turning 80 this year?!?! That's simply amazing, I can't wait to meet him in April, his birthday is a few days after mommy's.

It was fun seeing my Great Uncle Todd, he's funny, but I hope he doesn't get stuck in the wrong restroom anymore!

Whew, it's late, time for bed.....you know yesterday, I fell asleep on the way home from day care and didn't wake up until after 7:30 and then I went to bed at 9 and didn't stir all night long.

Where have I been?

Gosh, it's been almost 3 weeks since I wrote anything down......I guess time kinda flies by sometimes when you're busy growing and figuring out how to have fun!

And fun it's been. Here's a quick catch up:

About 2 weeks ago I did my first official roll over from back to front, I've done the front to back thing a few times already, that's old hat, but getting that back to front's been a challenge.

I'm eating solid foods too - a bunch of rice cereal, some carrots, green beans, peas and sweet potatoes for veggies. Had some pears and bananas too and so far so good. It's messy (just my style!), but it's a change from all that milk too.

Mommy and daddy thought I was cutting my first tooth a few weekends back, but no go so far. I'm still drooling like a champion, but no teeth just yet.

The old man and mom also took more pictures this past weekend, so hopefully those'll show up here soon too.

That's pretty much my last few weeks, this week is my 25th week overall and less than 2 weeks until my 6th month birthday.....a whole half-year already!

If any of ya wanna send me any gifts for my 6-months, I don't have a registry yet, but one of them there iPhone thingys would be really cool! (Okay, daddy requested I write that.)
